Ideal for a weekend escape

The pizza restaurant was a surprise , it had some of the best pizza I ever had.

It wasn't exactly a bargain , but you get what you pay for.

Location: the hotel was near to the Highland after Christmas and over New Year 2006 and restaurant. The staff were very-very nice and super-friendly and assisted with free parking...

Everything seemed great, incredibly nice staff, new-fashioned rooms. The breakfast was extensive with fruits, thoroughly enjoyed what was offered. I didn't want to say goodbye and would return here.

Comfortable Stay with a View

The room was clean, and while the breakfast options were limited due to service restrictions, the staff was friendly. Pro tip, arrive later for breakfast to avoid long lines.

Nice view around, nice personnel - we came after everything was closed and they opened restauranr for us, after a big group of japanese came and they were served as well.

Too hot in room. Eletric shock from static electricity every time the lift (elevator) buttons were pressed.Lack of minibus transport to the Dr Holmes Hotel to attend conference. Available in previous years.

The indoor swimming pool and sauna were perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. Although the lobby felt a bit cramped and limited, it didn't take away from the overall great experience 😊

Easy parking, good food at the on-site al la carte restaurant, Good location if travelling between Oslo and Bergen. As standard in Norway, free internet access. Clean, modern (if basic) facilities. Reception staff helpful

Breakfast was very basic and not particularly good quality. As with most hotels in Norway, pricey for what you get. No room safe (although this seems to be norm in Norway). Our room overlooked the main road. As it was summer, the room was quite hot and we wanted the window open - but this meant we had to put up with some road noise. If possible, ask for a room at the back or side when checking in for a better view and less noise.

The rooms are nicely and generously designed with all required facilities.

Staff was helpful during a medical emergency. The food from both the bakery and restaurant was fantastic. Check-in and check-out were smooth. The location is convenient with easy access to nature trails.

Really good Staff and Fantastic Food

I had a medical emergency , and the staff were really nice too ensure I was okay, reassuring. The bakery's fresh offerings and the restaurant's locally inspired meals were consistently excellent. The location, with easy access to hiking and ski trails, made it even better. The bathroom amenities could use some attention as there was a minor issue with odor.

The fast free WiFi in our room was excellent for staying connected.

We had a fantastic time! The pool area was lovely and serene. The included breakfast was excellent with everything freshly prepared. Our family room was spacious and cozy, making it a wonderful stay.
